I’m Bernadette Vigil-Cruz —the heart behind Turquoise & Country State of Mind.
This little shop in the Northern New Mexico mountains is more than just a boutique—it’s a dream 20 years in the making. After nearly two decades in banking, and with the love and encouragement of my amazing husband and son, I decided it was time to trade business suits for boots and chase the dream I’d been carrying in my heart.
Here, you’ll find western apparel, accessories, home décor, and my own handcrafted pieces—all chosen with care and country spirit. My deepest passion is Native American jewelry, especially turquoise treasures made by incredible Native American artists whose work I’m honored to share.
To me, turquoise isn’t just beautiful—it’s a little piece of the West you can wear. And I think everyone should.
